Walnut and Maple Charcuterie board

This has been sitting, mostly done for quite some time now. When I first planed it down, I wasn’t sure if I was going to finish it “as is”, or cut it up to use it as material for a future end grain “chaos" board. Just as I was debating on how to sacrifice this one to the chaos board gods… (and looking around for something to pair with it) I zigged instead of zagged. There is no chaos in this beautiful design, no matter how you slice it. So, I cut bevels on the edges, sanded it smooth, and called this one done. Appx 7.625" x 12.625" x .5" thick - finished with my homemade wood butter blend of beeswax and mineral oil.

Clan and simple sometimes trumps fancy. Looks great and the bevels really do work having done one similar with bevels  on the underside. Nice.

Kerry - Working with wood, the smell the feel, is such a joy, its a meditation of sorts.

Nicely done board, the beveled edge sets it off.
