New Chair Arms and Upholstery

I found this old chair in an upstairs room at my mom's house that used to belong to my grandmother. After a number of cats and a lot of abuse and cracked arms and one recovering by my dad, I thought it was time to bring it back to life with some new arms carved from maple on the duplicator and then some fresh finish to the frame and some new upholstery. With a little TLC, she has her chair back. The third shot  is what I started with.

That's a amazing job Jim. You should get into woodworking. LOL. I remember refurbishing my wife's grandmothers rocker years ago. It took me forever to get all the spindles right.
You did an excellent job fixing this up !!!   Mike

Very nice restoration Jim, even with the upholstery which looks better than the original design.  Well done.

Nice job saving that chair Jim. Arms look better than the old
Thank you all for the nice comments. My Daughter now has the chair since my mom passed away. I also have a big overstuffed chair in pieces up in the barn that I was always going to refurbish. When I kick the bucket maybe someone will find it and finish it for me post mortem!
