Bird Suet Cake Feeder

The old suet cake feeder had reached its end of life between the weather and woodpeckers beating it up.  The new one is western red Cedar and held together with nails and Gorilla Glue.  The previous one was made without a metal covering on the roof which was too easy for squirrels.  With a metal cover, they just slide off.  I have had trouble with the previous ones cable holding it up.  This time I got good cable and a cable crimper.  So far, the Woodpeckers are very happy with it.

Nice job - especially if you have been able to keep the food from the squirrels!
Good job !!!  This should keep the unwanted birds from getting to it .   Mike
That is nice, and I bet the birds love it. To refresh the suit, I take it you remove the screw and slide out the screen?
