This was some interesting veneer named Oriental Wood Veneer.
At the left side there is a door that leads to a closet which houses all the components.

Figuring out how to do something you have never done is what makes a good challenge.

wow thats bold.as much as i love wood,it's almost too much. so just what kind of wood is it? .

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Oriental is the name of it.  At least that's what it was called when I ordered it.
It's in a big open room layout so it doesn't look that over powering but,  I get what you mean.

OK, I really like that.  What great work.

Thanks,
The chatoyance  (sp) really comes out when the light hits it differently.
I also used it, for a different customer, for a bar that I'm sure I'll post later.

I have some veneer labelled Orientalwood that came in a truckfull I bought from a collector friend a few years ago. Wood Database says it’s Queensland Walnut but neither mine or yours looks much like Walnut.
Anyway, nice work!

The early bird gets the worm but its the second mouse that gets the cheese.

Now I like this!  I can see how it would be a great "accent wall" in a large space.
