Toaster Tongs, about 12" long x 3/4" x 1-1/8". Made from Cherry, Maple with Wenge and Oak highlights.
Milled the cherry down to 3/16" thickness and routed a fuller with a rounded box bit on both sides of stock. Glued up the middle of maple and Wenge in a long strip, sanded then cut to length. Some ends were rounded before assembly. After assembly drill for a 1/4" oak dowel to have a cross grain fastening. 1/8" round over on all exposed edges. Drilled for small maginet. Sanded to 220 and finished with Butcher Block Oil.

Pottz, thanks. There are so many variations that can be done on these. I thinned the stock down to make them a bit springier.

Good looking bunch of tongs. The difference in woods gives them a nice touch. Great job.  Mike
