yard gate made from african mahogany.4/4 frame with 1/2" slats that are t&g floating in the frame to allow for expansion.assembled with dominos, tite bond 3 glue.finish was redwood tint penofin to enhance the color.the old gate had a hole for the beagle to look out but i left it out on this one because the neighbors cats like to lay in front and tease her.they know she cant get them but she never figured that out-lol.
working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.
Nice gate, should handle the cali weather well. Juice er up every once in a while. I wish you could have got it a little straighter though, I know you have a level? House looks a little crooked too. Oh yeah, your on the fault line, never mind hahahaha
Figuring out how to do something you have never done is what makes a good challenge.
Larry beautiful gate. Very Cali looking. I am wondering though if you did the pics during an earthquake? Or maybe had some jars of Vino before you found the camera, things do have a definite lean going on.
