What is the best way to keep the lid on this jewelry box upright?   I've got it propped up from behind with a jar for the photo.   Lid Flopping over completely is not a good look.  Suggestions are needed and welcome.

Not sure of a solution but looks very nice!
Perhaps something like
https://www.rockler.com/decorative-chain-support
i looked around the internet and all the ones i saw had no chain or anything. maybe there using hinges that limit how far back they will open ?

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Yep the chain support is the easiest solution.  Other than that you'd probably have to replace the hinges.  Very nice box.
Nice looking box.
Chain,/stay, replace hinges, or a lip/stop block on the back.

The chain or stay is probably the simplest retrofit at this point.
I like quadrant hinges. They make some that are spring and lock open. Install is a bit more involved than just hinges, but there are jigs.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

I ordered the chain from Rockler,  thanks guys.    Next time I will try the 90 degree hinges

Wondering out loud if you could make some kind of stop blocks  (mentioned above)  like so

Mr bentylj.   Good idea I will try it out next time.   Got the chain on the way for this one.

It’s a wonderful box and has a lot of detail with those great drawers.

Horton Brasses have stop hinges for small boxes for your next project.
