some kleenex boxes ive been wanting to make ever since i saw some made by my good friend tony, aka, wood shaver.mine arn't quite as sophisticated as his though, no fancy secret latches hiding high powered kleenex that will blow off your head besides your nose! mine are made from maple burl for the tops, walnut with a maple inlay and padauk with maple splines for the body.all the box wood was resawn to 3/8" with a 3/4" base.the top stay's aligned with simple dowels.the finish is general finishes semi gloss wipe on,quickly becoming my fav.the corners of the box are 45 mitered.1/4" rubber bumpers on the base.any questions ask.comments good or critical welcome always. a great project to give as a gift.

pottz, can you not do anything just frickin "okay" or at least make it appear that you slapped it together out of some scraps for once. I made my wife and some family members some tissue box covers a few years back, I sure hope they don't see these!
Just kidding Pottz, those are superb and I wouldn't expect anything less from a craftsman like you. I have to admit my projects would look better on "other" sites where the photo's are all blurry and out of focus. 🤣
Paduke is my favorite. I find myself saying the same thing about a few other woods also. Those are nice boxes though, what is that, particle board on the tops? 😈
Figuring out how to do something you have never done is what makes a good challenge.
