Project Information
this is a cutting board I made for my wife that locks on to the sink so she can cut things and scape the waste right down the garbage disposal, the problem is she liked it so much she wants to leave in place all the time covering up the left side, oh well I live with it. made of 1-1/2 solid walnut with a mineral oil finish. this was done several years ago and still going strong.

Good project Pottz. Bummer to lose half a sink though.

Great looking sink board should hold the dirty dishes without sagging.

Excellent idea pottz!  I need to make me one :-)
Nice work Pottz too nice to chop on.  Does she use a knife on it?

BTW I just remembered I did the same thing for friends at their condo, just realized they moved to a home.  The board left behind?

May need to find out if they need a new one.  Kitchin being rebuilt after the storm

yeah she uses it to cut on all the time. being over the sink she just pushes the scrap down the garbage disposal.

Nice design & build, I like the positive lock for the center sink separator.
You had my approval when you said you used walnut.  😉  Looks great and the mark of success is continued daily use!
rivers-thanks,if the boss likes it,it's right period !

That's very attractive, I can see why she left it out. My wife goes though those thick plastic types often because she says the knife marks hold bacteria and she replaces them when they are too scratched up. Who am I to argue?
