folding pocket knife

Project Information
this was a folding pocket kit knife from rockler that had been in the drawer for a couple years so during breaks from the pepper grinder project i decided too finally do it. the wood used is snakewood,a pretty rare and very expensive wood. the amount used was about 10 bucks worth. if youve ever worked with it you'll know it cracks just looking at it. when ever ive made a pen with it ill add water while drilling too prevent it from splitting. had to redo one side that broke while cutting on the scroll saw. the pieces were epoxied to the handle and sanded to 400 grit then polished with carnuba wax on the buffer. this was gifted to my son.

Beauty Pottz. Did you like that knife kit? I was looking at a couple folders from other sources. The problem is that I tray prefer super thin knives, so I kinda fee wasted making scales for one since they’ll be so slight.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Looks like a nice kit and the Snakewood is gorgeous Pottz. I've haven't worked with it, so good to know about the tendency to crack.

ryan-the kit was given to me by my son who i regifted the finished knife to. it was a decent quality folder.

brit- i love the look of snakewood but ya just gotta be cautious with it,very brittle.
