Project Information
well another christmas gift from 3 or 4 years ago that i never got around to,but with some extra time i finally get to take it off my to do list. a simple lathe project that took about 4 hours start to finish. something my friend jim jakosh could do with his eyes closed. wood was cocobolo which is very hard and durable, a great wood for handles. just turned to preference and epoxied on the blade and ferrell. finish is 3 coats GF arm r seal with a final coat of wax.
update-ive been using this trowel for the last couple years now and it is very heavy duty and has held up very well. i believe my wife got the kit from rockler ?

Cant you build anything out of plain normal looking timbers? All of your stuff looks like it should be displayed not thrown in the dirt
LOL- hey i like nice wood. coco is very hard and durable, even after a couple years of use it looks like the day i made it. im thinking of sending it to shipwright and have him do some marquetry on it ;-))

Fancy spade there buddy!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

hey how much do you spend on your wood tools ? so why not have some beautiful garden tools ? it's my passion right after woodworking.
