This is a serving tray that I was commissioned to make for a customer. It is walnut and maple with 12 segments inside a 4 segment ring. It just fit in my old  lathe. Finish is Mylands friction polish followed by Deft gloss lacquer and scuff waxed with Butcher's wax.

Beautiful!

Impressive, like the way you manage to avoid glue gaps on all the joints.
Very nice work Jim. With that many joints is hard to get tight fit.

Have you considered making a Crokinole game board? I have made a couple. The game is quite entertaining. This is not one I made just a picture to show you what they look like. I couldn't find picts of mine at this moment.

Jim,

Nice looking serving tray.  Are you going to put it on a rotating bearing base?

Beautiful work, Jim! It’s impressive how you got the tips of all those wedge segments to meet at a point so well. That can’t have been easy.
Well, that is a masterpiece!!
