Laptop Stand

This is not a new project. This was from a few months after I started woodworking.

Then, LJ people(mostly they are here) gave me good feedback and I started to see more projects' pictures from them and I really got into woodworking.

If you wonder how this woven pattern is made, this is called Hida chidori goushi or Honnejigumi, and I made a quick video(only like 4mins), too.

It's just about a year ago but I feel it was a long time ago....

Very well done Yrti, like the little feet and the weave on the surface.

Main Street to the Mountains

Thank you guys as always! and basically, you guys are the ones got me into woodworking, haha!
Cliff, I'm far from a master but at least I do the best I can at any projects :)

Very nice, YRTi! I like the ⅓-⅔ trick for the locking bars. Have to remember that.

I also looked at your videos. You should link your YouTube channel in your profile here so more people can see it.

May you have the day you deserve!

Hi Dave! yeah, I will add my Youtube account!

Though I'm not sure where I'm going, I'm trying to step up my woodworking hobby so I have to try harder on Youtube and of course improve my woodworking skill!  hopefully, I can find a way to somehow help a random woodworking community and I can continue to enjoy woodworking!

I think you’re doing quite well. I’m learning things watching your videos.

May you have the day you deserve!

Looking good!

The open weave is better than a solid board IMO, shows more "gumption"!
Nice stand YRTi

Figuring out how to do something you have never done is what makes a good challenge.

That’s a real nice looking stand
Dave - Thank you for watching my videos:)
Splinter - If I try like that way, I will most likely end up with showing my "ignorance"...

Bentlyj, Corelz, Thank you!

Like splinter said the open wood on the support also keeps the lap top cooler.

I’m also building a similar project but for a iPad.

I could tell it was yours buy it’s style. Wonderful project.

Love the stand and especially love the video description.  Maybe some day I'll get to try it.

James, my style as the photo on top of the Ikea drawer? haha, Thank you and looking forward to seeing your iPad stand:)
L/W, you should try it! It's a fun project and it's more fun when you see people get confused by the trick like "How is it possible!?"
