Shop Stool

A design of a stool I’ve had in my head for years. It’s a prototype made from lumber from my burn pile. I want to make a few more from select Walnut.

That is a great design, to nice for the shop, but made from scrap. Well done.

I need to get a better quality burn pile!!!  ;)
Neat design and well beyond a shop stool.
No fear of going non-linear, with that in my shop, I'd just sit all day and get nothing done!
Wow, what a shop chair!  Beautiful!
nice design.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Interesting and well above shop furniture.    Catches the eye, appealing.   Nicely done

This is beautiful.  It is a great design.  I have had a similar design in my head but always wondered about the weight and the stabiliy.... so it had not gotten off my bucket list yet.  Also yours is way better looking than the one in my head.

How is the weight, and the stability?
Swirt, the weight is heavy, but its a prototype made from Hickory.  The Hickory was in my stack to burn in my shop wood heater and then I realized it had nice figure in some pieces, therefore, it became my material of choice for the prototype.  The stability is no issue.  The rear leg is of good width and gives the stool stability.

I like it, great set of curves.
That's one nice chair Steve! Love it. How does it feel to sit in? I also very much like the Morrison cradle you made.
