Tourist Trike

 A bit over a week ago I received my regular newsletter from Peter Aschis "Aschis's Workshop"

 Wooden Toy & Model Plans | The Best Wooden Toy & Model Plans in the World

Peter very generously adds a small free toy plan for his subscribers and this month it was "Fun-O-Trike".

I needed some shed time so downloaded the plan and printed it off!

And the fun started......

I started the plan but as many know I struggle working with plans,

so just used his plan as a base to make a more detailed trike which ended up as a Peterbilt "Tourist Trike"

I made quilted seats for the passengers and the rider;
extended the folks & body of the trike;
added a headlight & taillights along with twin exhaust pipes on 2.25" dia treaded back wheels and 2" wheel cutter front front wheel.

I've already shown Peter via email of what I did with his plan, receiving his tick of approval.

Mine is 12" long by 4.5" wide and 4" high.

I've put 3 coats of my homemade wipe-on-poly to finish it off.

Both Papa Smurf and Handy Smurf are very pleased with my efforts

Cheers Peter

Very cool trike crowie, I like the rake on the front forks, like "Easy Rider" chopper.

Cool build crowie... but you'll never convince me it was back to the old days of "smooth sailing"
How about a few happy snaps of the oopsies.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Cool trike, Peter!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice, Peter! Good job making it your own.

May you have the day you deserve!

Would make for a "sporty" grocery getter!
Papa Smurf looks like he is wants to go out cruising for some biker smurfettes!
Great build, Crowie.  I love the add-one creativity you bring to your projects.   👍👍👍👍👍.  This fine little tryke reminds me of Tuk Tuk experiences I had in Bangkok.  I can feel the acceleration and smell the petrol fumes.   😁
I love it Crowie....my brother has a three wheeler...gives me an idea!   well done and thanks for showing!
