family name plaque stand
my 90 year old neighbor bought a name plaque and wanted me to make a stand for it. i normally dont do work for people but ive done many things for him over the years and he lets me do whatever i want. and i could i say no ! made from cherry wood with padauk banding to dress it up a little. rubber pad on the bottom. plaque just hangs on screws so he can easily remove it if needed. finish is one coat GF arm r seal and 4 coats satin laquer. it was a simple one day build and a day for the finish. i think, or hope he loves it ?

yeah same here, just me and the wife and i gotta work tomorrow so a quiet day is fine with me. well quiet right now at least. this has been one of the quietest 4th's we can remember. which is fine with the beagle.
