ok another fantastic swap has ended. i was very lucky and happy to get duckmilk as my recipient. for my main project i gave him two burger/steak serving boards. the wood was paduak with handles made from cocobolo. kinda became my trademark wood. the handles are attached withe hand made dominos of maple. i included two ss cups for condiments along with a basket for fries and a slate plate on the bottom. also made a combo pizza slicer/server/cutter also from tulip wood. i laser engraved his name and year. for bonus gifts i made a set of shredders and a pig tale turner made from tulip wood. also threw in a bottle opener, kind of a tradition now, made from stabilized birch from my good friend dave p.

my logo lasered on a wood coin set into the bottom.

of course there was the "beer" !

doing the layout.
the template i used to router out the boards.
boards ready for 5 coats of GF ARM R SEAL. i put rubber feet on the bottom.
all in all this was the best swap ever with lots of fantastic projects delivered by all. i highly recommend you join us next year. i gaurantee ill be back.

Looks great! Nicely done buddy. Love the color of that wood contrasted with the slate.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

It looks practical but not really! because it's too good to use! Well done.

No name noobie here

A fan-friggin-tastic design my friend!  I absolutely love the Burger Board and they will be appearing around my house at some point!  The entire package is a real treasure trove but the burger boards are really unique and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like them.  Way yo bring the A game man!
That is such nice work, Lar.  Absolutely beautiful.

Nicely done.  Did you cut the round plate circles with a template and router?

This Summer I had hardly any time to be able to get it done in time.
Good beer? Seeing all this IPA swill just looks like Busch in a fancy can. Saw one or two groups with real beer in the mix.
What a great idea.  You've got me thinking about all sort of serving plates and trays with slate inserts.

And as usual, flawlessly executed too.
