Looks pretty handy.  Makes me feel ashamed for using scribe molding.

Half of what we read or hear about finishing is right. We just don’t know which half! — Bob Flexner

Nice! Much better than when I use a scrap of wood with a pencil taped to it😀
All of the scribing you do I would of thought you came up with something years ago. Handy  little tool
Nicely done

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Functional! kinda looks like a clothes pin with the lead grooves.
Like the others, I've suffered with made on site stuff (pencil in a washer hole).

Even your winged by had stuff has class 🤠
Thanks All,
I've been using a pencil taped to wood for years,  I also have one of those fast cap compass looking scribes.
I think this will be my go to from now on.
I was working on one to be 3d printed but decided not to pursue it so if any of you all are interested,  here is the basic idea.  Still needs refinement though. Has different tips for different widths.

Nice work!

That is pretty cool.

Can you post a video of you using it?

As long as it works, doesn't make much difference how it looks. Good job.

That's a very useful thing to have in the toolbox. I need to make one of these, thanks for posting.
