Moxon vice/workbench

Made the Moxon work area after seeing Eric "the loft" and others build similar projects.

Wood is maple counter top salvaged from a friend's remodeling.

Vice base and accents are Ipe leftover from another project.

Vice capacity is 3 " with 15" between the threaded rods.

Vice hardware is from Wood River.

Fun project I will use a lot.

thats a damn sweet vise petey.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Thanks Pottz.  I'm sure I will modify it over time once I really start using it.

I am going to add leather or cork to the vice faces and put some oil on it.

Beautiful and functional.  What an awesome vise!

Great looking Moxon there Petey.
Thanks Rich and Mike.  If it was not for this place I would not know what Moxon even is.

Good looking and very useable.   Various woods make it look even better.

Nicely done!

Very nice.   I bought that vise hardware set but the project keeps getting kicked down the road.

Where did you get those low profile dogs?

Nice looking vise Petey. The Ipe will outlast anything you put it up against

really sweet Pete GR8 JOB 😍😎👍

Ron, Nathan,Great,Ryan,Steve,Corelz thanks.

Still waiting for a plane stop to arrive. It slides on two dogs to fit holes up to 9" apart.  I thought pretty cool.

That vise is a thing of beauty, really like the look of those dogs contrasting with the wood.

Petey, I’ve got a low profile planing stop like the one you described. I love it, use it all the time. 👍🏼👍🏼
