I made a few of these last year out of Big Box 2x4 material and made more this year along with some hardwood as well and on a couple, I flipped the pattern around...fun.

@pottz they are pretty quick to make. Sanding is dependent on bandsaw cutting outcome. Should be a walk in the park with your skilz.
Very cute! Something I have wanted to try, but I am not good with a bandsaw. I need more practice with it.
