Made this one for my daughter when she was two, first attempt at ‘sculpture’, and a step into the unknown, at the time I had only done relief carvings for wall paneling, staircases and furniture, but after she had broken the arms off two sofas I thought I would give it a go, still rocking on sixteen years later !

It certainly is an hierloom. It’s a great horse, well done. Everyone who has posted these are true artisans and artists. They seem to get better and better, not true of course but they seem to.

Thanks for the warm welcome, just finding my way around the site, carpenter not IT pro, put a small time capsule in side the horses body with pictures of my girl and the family, coins for date and a brief history, hopefully her descendent’s will find it one day and think of her.
