Tuk Tuk by Dutchy

Just finished this really nice little model Tuk Tuk by our very own member Dutchy.
While this may not be the most challenging model to make it still has plenty to keep you interested and thinking.
Most of the timber is New Zealand Kauri with dark Walnut roof and rear windows etc,. The seats are mahogany as are the tyres. The wheels and the other white parts are holly.
The tyres have been ebonized and the whole model has a coating of tung oil.
I never keep time on how long it takes to make models, however I can say this one could be made in a reasonably short time depending on what standard finish you require, also I make nearly all my own dowel that takes time.
I am not a person who like to use templates and I much prefer plans with all the measurements required to do my own set out. Dutchy supplies both templates and measurements to cater for all tastes. Thank you Dutchy.
damn nice model work peter. ive seen dutchys and i know he'll give yours thumbs up !

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Beautiful work, as always!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Jonesey you sly dog... you keep slipping these in without warning.

So what did you use?

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Nice to see your work here on Craftisian! As always a nice execution. Thanks for sharing.

Great that this little one still has plenty to keep you interested and thinking Peter. Last year I designed this Tuk tuk for the surprise swap here on CF.
