Mobile Kitchen Island

I built this Mobile Kitchen Island for our Summertime shack where space is at a premium.  Basically, the insides of this shack - which doesn't dignify the word "cottage" - is under 400 square feet.  So, having something like this that serves as a countertop, has some drawer and storage, can be rolled (and locked in place) where and when you need it, and then put out the way when it's not used is a great attribute.  It's made out of Birch and Walnut, mostly, with various other assorted hardwoods for the top.

nice cart. looks like your shop is right outside the kitchen. how do you keep the dust and noise out. i think my wife would be complaining a lot. hell it's bad enough if i forget to get the dust off my shoes before going in.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Nice cart!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

My cubbyhole of a workshop is in the lower floor of split level condo.   The counter you see is a wet bar.   And, yes, there's way too much dust.
