This was a request for a wedding gift. It is a mesquite charcuterie board that is 1"x 12" x 16". It is finished with Danish Oil and Walrus Oil cutting board wax.
Sorry about the lighting in the photos- I had to take a quick shot when it was picked up this morning.
cheers, Jim

Nice!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

The laser revolution is happening!

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Nice board. The engraving looks great, this'll make a nice gift for the newlyweds.
Nicely done, laser work is great.

Love the mesquite as always, fine work Jim!
Great personalized gift!

All the popular kids have lasers!!!
You’re up Barb….laser is in your future!

🤣🤣🤣 my method is to drop hints, including showing my husband projects like this, to emphasize how great a particular new toy, I mean new tool, would be.  😀
That is the key BB!

Lasers can do a lot, just need to figure out (A) what you need them to do and then figure out (B) which one will do that.
I don't think anyone and fully connect A to B.

Ryan, If I recall (from a reliable source), you can't buy the sharks with lasers, only the sea bass. 🙄
Sea bass are protected in California…I’m looking for black market import laser sharks. 🦈

Often less is more, simple is complicated - nice board!

Great looking board( and engraving) love the mesquite.
I know I'm a PITA... but can't anyone spell cutting board nowadays?

Thank you all for the nice comments. I forgot to acknowledge that my neighbor, Wayne, did the laser work on his XTool D1 Pro 20 watt laser. I bought one just like it and had it shipped home to Michigan and will open it in April. I just hope this "old kid" can learn how to run it.  You will soon see the next project he did for me on it.

Hi Barbara, make something for you husband and have it lasered by a local shop and maybe he will buy into the fact that you could do it all if you had a laser!!

Hi Ducky. She ordered a charcuterie board but plans to cut on the side opposite the lettering. "Charcuterie" is a more "expensive" word when selling these products!!!!!!!!!!  Plywood could be a cutting board!!

Nice Jim.

Charcuterie board works for me Duck, a cutting board should be end grain like a butchers block by my reckoning.
Thanks, Mike

Jim- I've already paid to have some engraving done on a project. 🤷‍♀️  I would only be interested in being able to add some decorative touches.  Seems like the cost might be beyond my usage, but who knows.  Craftisian posts have a way of helping me spend $$ (in addition to solving problems so good trade off ?!?).
