Boxes ? Yes, I have boxes

I posted one like this a while back but I had the stock came from reason resin filled walnut so I made another box with the other side of that stock with more repurposed material in the lid.

Then I went on a box binge and started creating
Purple Heart and walnut with a Purple Heart lid handle

then I decided the Bloodwood was next with Sassafras lid and bottom and blood wood handle

I used my cheater positioner on the lid

Another BloodWood box with resin filled walnut lid and bottom

Then just a plain wormy chestnut and Koa

and my favorite - vertical koa sides, curly koa bottom with maple skirted with koa and a koa handle

and I utilized my add-on positioner for the lid which requires some router work.

Some pretty boxes there.  Are these ones you are planning to sell?

Nice boxing, Dick!

May you have the day you deserve!

You've been busy! They all look great.
Nice woods and box styles Dick  👍

You must have the magic touch or some love of sanding as I don't see any burn marks on that purple heart!
Like that Koa any way it comes. I do like the vertical sides of that box, kind of a neat trick.

That bloodwood is pretty, but darned if the sawdust doesn't make a mess. It's almost like blood. Touch something with it, and it's there, seemingly forever. I don't know if I'm tidy enough for it? I don't know if transfer or stain is the right word, but it looks like a mini massacre when I use it. :-) Looks like you figured out how to get away from that.

Cool boxes Dick
Those look great! Very nice!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Great looking boxes

Only one word Dick - gorgeous

Yes, I have a couple facilities that stock my items.

I do get burn marks on occasion but I guess I'm lucky because they usually aren't too bad.

One thing I did learn about bloodwood is not to pair it "against" a soft porous wood and then sand.  It will bleed and stain, resulting in a true piece of scrap.

Thanks to all for the kind remarks

Beautiful boxes, Dick. Do you sell them at shows??

Thanks Jim  -  we only do one show a year.  It’s the Atwood Fall Festival  the first weekend of October.
Those boxes are beautiful. Wood choices are great.

Nice to see you are still at it, Dick.  Great Work.  My fav - the bloodwood one.

No Bees. No Honey. Bees Lives Matter

The Koa wood is gorgeous and the grain orientation is so cool. I saw many koa wood boxes when I went to Hawaii and I really want to try koa wood since then. Great job!
