I drew this picture in 1973 when I lived in New Mexico. I remembered hearing Wolfman Jack on the radio giving the weather report. "It's gonna be hot, somewhere." Then this happened. I ran across it a few weeks back and thought it needed something. It has acquired a patina. It's held up over the years better than I have.
I had leftovers from another project. I played around and came up with this.
I built an assembly jig, glued up 4 sections; top, bottom, center left and right. Top and bottom are 3 bricks high, center sections are 3 bricks wide. I had to cut down the drawing, but I like how it turned out. It's kinda wonky, like me.
I glued each section, 1 at a time, onto 1/8" bb ply. The drawing is attached with double sided tape.
I'm really liking Titebond Hide glue. Everything got sprayed with Mohawk Dead Flat Lacquer spray.
