Jewellery Box

So after a piece of expensive wood bowed on me after cutting it on the table saw I had a dilemma.
I decided to make it into a box lid.
Some American oak (as I recall) plus Jarrah trim. The draw knob is a combination.
Hinges are Brusso JB102’s top it off.
Destined to become a gift to my sister in law. A fun project.

Nicely done!  Great to take what was an issue into an interesting design feature.  Very nice gift.
Great use for it!

Very clean lines and a great way to make a warped board do something useful besides making one upset!

Looks like some serious volume to be filled!
Thanks gents, the photos make it look a bit bigger than reality ha ha.
Cheers Kerry

So the board cupped into the shape of the lid, as it is here? Good eye to see Lemonade after falling into a pit of Lemons. It's a nice looking box too.
That is a very nice box.  Love the lid.

Nice work
