Cuff link or small Jewellery box

This little box is made mainly from American maple. The lid is a variety of woods, Tasmanian oak some more American maple and the laminated strips are Jarrah. Finished in gloss polyurethane.
It's a fiddly build but rewarding when complete. I failed to use enough glue on a couple of the lid fingers and on applying some pressure on the shaping process it cracked twice. Each in a seperate area...... message to self be sure to spread your glue properly and don't use cheap glue.

Kerry - Working with wood, the smell the feel, is such a joy, its a meditation of sorts.

Laminatealishious 🙂

Some real effort that paid off!
Some great wood combinations, and a nice shape for the box.

I like the concept - reminds me of a pinstripe suit!
A lott of work went into that top. Nice design
Sorry I missed this... hell I gotta spruik a fellow downunder.

Agree C125, and apologies Lark... but any secrets, or is the build that.

You gotta be more active.... crowie is too charitable... RC is, hell... a Queenslander and I get ostracised.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Unique and very interesting.

Well done Lark!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".
