Entry way coat and shoe tree cabinet

Granddaughter ask through her Mom, DIL, if I could build her a entryway coat and shoe device as she had seen.    How does one say no to the only Granddaughter, just married with their first home.
The cabinet needed to be made with sliding doors for the shoe storage area, a place to sit to remove and put on shoes, coat hangers with hat storage above.   Bigger requirement, needs to be able to be transported in a Mazda SUV 750 miles.
Decided on a base and a top piece that also included the seat board.   To be connected once on site.   The top would then fit in the SUV with the base sitting in it or in it.
Pine for most with Butternut seat, ply for shoe shelves, waistcoat mdf for back.  DIL would paint it once I built it.   I would stain the Butternut seat.
72 inches tall, 17 inches deep, 36 inches wide.   The seat is 18 inches off the floor.
Lots of stopped dados for the connections...half lap for the sliding doors.
Finished yesterday, Granddaughter here today so it will be off to her home later in the week.    Interested in her response to the cabinet.

Very awesome. I’ve got a similar build coming up (hopefully this next year) as we’re converting a small room to a mud room/laundry room. Great job!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

The picture of the cabinet is before it is transported to the Granddaughters home and as painted by the DIL.

Nicely done Ron. I was requested to make something similar but only the bench part a couple years ago. No sliding doors just open boxes underneath
Great work Ron👍
Designing for transport is a challenge, I think your GD is fortunate to be a member of the clan!
well done ron, she's gonna love it !

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Love it!  Great to have a solid, custom build. Added challenge of the transportation issue - sounds like you solved that as well.
Beautiful work, Ron! Your daughter-in-law did a great job with the paint too. I predict your granddaughter's response will be over-the-top positive.
Thanks for the comments.

Very - very nice, beautiful craftsmanship Ron. This will be your granddaughters life long heirloom and a reminder of how great Grandpa is.

Nicely done! The breakdown feature will be helpful if it ever needs to be moved.
