Artist Easel

I built this for my oldest Granddaughter, in hopes of continuing her art that she loves.

This is another one of those projects built on the fly, a few sketches for the idea, then trial and error for the moving parts and a way to attach the support for the board. This one kept being placed in the corner for miss behaving (multiple times). I plugged through it and made the shipping date for Christmas.

Built from Cypress, with Oak plywood for the board. This easel will set on a table, or the legs can extend for a comfortable height, along with the upper back support. I used thumb screws into t-nuts to lock the legs while extended. All in all, a fun project.

Thanks for looking and comments are always welcome.

She should be proud of the easel.   Well done

Ron

Great gift! Nice that it can be stored (and shipped) with little space commitment.  I hope your granddaughter gets a lot of use from this.
That is a cool design - one that should have been a good puzzle to solve designing on the fly. Looks great!
Great design and execution, very versatile assembly. I'm positive your granddaughter will love it, grandpap.
OldTool, thanks. I think she will continue with the art. Waiting for a painting from her.
