Hummer

Boys and Girls,

One of my first posts on LJ back in May 6, 2016.. hell nearly 9 years ago when I still had my innocence.

Imported here to shatter that conception, if only because it was with limited words.

Made out of maple, walnut, laser cut nuts out of walnut and purchased lights… brushed on poly finish. The kerfs in the doors,

were put in using a 3D printed Foredom following template with a 1.5mm router bit,

using laser cut templates out of MDF,

3DW model,

I finished this build in January 2016 (before discovering LJ).  I posted these few pictures on request and to boost my upload quota.
To whet your appetite, this is the animation of the scenes from the SU model

Good to see your older model making skills showcased Alex 👍

Life’s Good, Enjoy Each New Day’s Blessings

Thanks crowie...  actually I wanted to more so highlight how I did the kerf.

Looks great!  The details in these models are so impressive.
You really do great work. The detail, fit and finish are always excellent.
Great looking model! Nice idea on making the door kerfs.
Good looking truck.

Really slick application for the Foredom, mini-routing small parts and probably before you had your impressive collection of vacuum toolage!

Just need to work in some motors and take on some dirt!
Very nice Duckster!  Not what I expected in a post titled Hummer...but looks good none the less.....

Mike

damn duckie you and i f@#k with each other all the time but i gotta say, this is some damn fine model making, period !

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Thanks all... I'm trying... as SWMBO says, "very trying!".

Splinter, that Foredom may fade into spider residence once I master the Origin for the kerfing... though I'm getting ideas as my podiatris (though I call him a meter maid rather than a foot specialist) may give me an alternative.
Now that vacuum (other than the one in my cranium) might be a good combo with the Origin.  I wanted to call it Shaper (as I always have in the past), but playing footsies with the boffins over technical issues, they are trying to bribe me if I call it the "Origin".

Pottzy, I have my moments when that nemesis of mine, that bloody MD, tells me to give my liver a break.

I initially gave up Mon-Fri... didn't work... so I tried Sat-Sun... that didn't work... so I just don't work on it... giving up.

I don't trust doctors anymore.... they keep telling me I'm mental, but I keep telling them it's all in MY head, so how the hell would they know!

Arnie would like it.
I thought your nuts would have been bigger

Not too many people seem to read/follow my reviews, so I might as well toss it in here. If there's any Aussies out there reading this that like caramel, this offering (on the left) by Woollies, is one helluva treat for just a few shekels...

A lot better than those shekel heavy Lolly-Gobble_Bliss-Bombs! Probably off the same production line but rejected for too much caramel coating.... Diabetes warning!

I used to love their salted caramel... pooh-bah now... salt is no good for you and it's harder to spell suga

.

I think that is called retirement!

Caramel coated popcorn! If you can migrate over to the ewess on Oct 31st (Halloween), you can just go door to door and bag hundreds of those concoctions. Of course they will be pressed into baseball sized shapes by some young-uns with nose-pickin' fingers just learning the technique.
Nice build Ducky. Innocence, I think you mis-typed :-)

Until The Donald's border laws are cast in concrete, they're probably laced with "counter" brand (Fe$tool)...

Thanks GW... but the judicial system has branded me as "continual Mr. Innocence".
