This makes the third medicine cabinet I've made. I might even make another if my wife has anything to say about it. But I'd be happy to do it. I used satin stainless steel handles on it from Lee Valley's. I contoured the doors frames with a Classic Ogee profile. Center panels have beading.
Underneath I placed a push light for middle of the night use.
Here's a view inside the cabinet. I used European hinges. Again from Lee Valley. The shelves are adjustable.
I can see why your wife is happy with your fine craftsmanship MrRick. Lots of room in there.
I built 3 or four of medicine cabinets and have one more to go. I posted them at an other site. When I saw yours, you reminded me of them. I may post them here.
Nice clean design. Like the added light - maybe consider a motion sensor light. We have one in our RV bathroom and like the convenience of the light coming on without having to find a switch. Only downfall is the dogs trigger the sensor if they wander around.
Nice looking cabinet Rick. As James McIntyre asked - what species wood was used?, and how did you apply the ogee profile - molding plane or router? Either way, the outcome is very nice.
Barb.... at the time I couldn't find one that size that was motion sensor activated. Perhaps I'll look again. Good idea for sure. Even so, in the pitch black of night I see the cabinet and have no problem running my hand to it and pushing the dome. It works great. Main thing is my wife has no complaints.

Thanks Oldtool! Cabinet was made out of Pine. For the ogee profile, I had a relapse and succumbed to using a router bit.
