Thought I’d try something a little out of my comfort zone. So I made this. I made a few mistakes, as usual, but overall it was a really fun project. I couldnt wait to show it off and it’s back in the shop with a coat of clear satin poly on it. I’ll post pics when it’s dry and strung.

Fantastic. Way to go trying an instrument as a diffrent project. You had a lot of fun I bet, I always do when making instruments.

Different from the usual stuff.

Great work.

It was very fun and I am certainly building another. A fantastic experience I recommend to anyone. And you get to play with it later!

The wood was reclaimed from a 100 year old school in my valley that was recently demolished. I managed to get 6 feet of Douglas fir 4×8 and 4 feet of 4×8 pitch pine.
