Just Braggin'?

I posted this project 3 years ago on another site. A comment from another member reminded me about this stamp. I had a lot of fun with it and wanted to share it here.

This was something I made as a funny gift for my son. He and his wife have some chickens and they share eggs with friends and family. I thought everyone would get a laugh when they saw the stamp.

I know they sell rubber specifically for stamps, but it wasn't worth buying some for this tiny project. I turned the handle and used a piece of play mat for the stamp, the kind that locks together for babies to play on . Before lasering the stamp, I wasn't sure if the material was dangerous, so I made sure to vent the fumes outside.

It went over big, now I just worry my son might occasionally use it on his forehead. LOL

Bruce, you reminded me of this project when you commented in another thread, wondering if those dovetail mats cut cleanly.

Yep, actually surprised you could etch the stuff too.
