Bottom line, practicing my lathe skills. Although I think the skew beads are getting better, I certainly have yet to be able to skew like the folks in the videos. Anyway, this is a glue up made from scraps.  Ergo, tight bond III as good of glue as it is, I hope it holds up through a few fish whacking.
damn you dont mess around buddy. i can dig it though, nothing like beating the hell out of a halibut on deck !!!! hell the barn doors they shoot em in the head ! 😎

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Looks great!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

That'll learn em!

Is that a bottle opener on the end? Nice post-whacking beverage provision!

Not only raises bruises, raises a few questions....
  • Does the fish smile at the craftsmanship of the laminations?
  • Is that bottle opener to commiserate the one that got away?
  • Have you whacked your knuckles when a slippery sucker, slipped out of your hand.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

That's a fine whacker you got there!
