Found these tiles from my wife's stash. They were made a bit hot so the colors are muted, but waste not....
Have a ton of red oak, so a beveled frame. The tiles were glued to a 1/4 BB ply base with resin colored white. The resin was forced out through the tile joints and cleaned off to provide some protection from water seeping through. Pressed between two cauls while drying to make for a flat base and easy dadoing.
Got to use my aux miter gauge fence at 30 degrees which lets me keep the saw blade at 90. Miter set to 30.
Thanks all! Gary, the fence is made with the three flat/straight strips of oak and then carefully prepped for the proper angle at the face. There is a covering with 220 grit PSA to keep the work from sliding around. I do clamp on a stop block (also a triangle) and the flat face for the clamp keeps it in place. The 220 lets me use my kung-fu grip while passing the work through the blade, but a clamp can be used for short stuff.
Bertha, Steve, thanks! I do like that fence, I really hate tilting the saw blade and resetting after the cut, then there is the figuring out all the angles and dealing with the "right tilt only" aspect as well.
