Wedding box for niece

Made this box as a wedding gift for my niece.

Measures 12"×8×5".

Sides are walnut, top is curly maple.  I used Brown and Yellow dyes to bring out the curl. (Trans tint power in hot water).  The handle is maple, ebony and bloodwood.

I use Brusso hinges along with their brass router templates.  Bottom is sapele.  Finish is GF Armor seal wipe on.

Splines were made on a tapered jig.  (jig was posted as a review I think)  Made by infinity tools.

Thanks for looking.

Beautiful Petey!
Details knock this out of the park, you were going for something special so plenty of motivation.

I'm sure your niece would also love a wedding table to set it on 🤠

That top is stunning! An excellent wedding gift.
Great job Petey! I’m sure it will be greatly appreciated. Interesting splines, at first glance they look like traditional dovetail joints.
FotoDOG,
