A box I build some time ago but I thought I post it anyway as it is one of my favorites .
The design is Asian inspired and the body is made from our local Tamarak with walnut for the top and accents for contrast .
I used my corner spline design which is designed to match the length of the sides and front and back in length and also a vertical spline as a further design element .
The body is made from solid and the curves are shaped after assembly .
The lid is laminated from several layers of veneer which I cut from a single board using the box as a form .
The dividers are steam bent and removable .
Nicely done. I like the shape, and the lid captures the subtlety of Asian boxes.

I like the organic shapes and the color combo – great job!
