Ribbon Cross #2

A while back, I posted the gate sign, “The Lea-Bell Place,” that I made for a client, using weathered and wormy/holey wood. To pass the time between coats on the recent Pine Keep Sake box, I knocked this Ribbon Cross together.

I cut a remnant of the old wood, to 4 1/2" by 9", grooved it for splines and dry brushed it with Turquoise paint. Added the ribbon, a silver button and a hangar, and it’s good to go.

Went to the local trade days, this morning, and picked up some nice Conchos, for more crosses.

Not much to the wood working, but it’s fun to knock something together, quickly, with the table saw and router.
