Butterfly Plaque

Now that spring is here, I’ve managed to get back into the workshop after an absence of several months. When I saw this pattern of Sheila Landry’s (http://www.sheilalandrydesigns.com/product/SLDK660) it reminded me of a quote I came across , so I just had to made it into a plaque. I resized the pattern so I could insert a photo I had taken into
a 1.5’ frame. I used basswood backed with a veneer (not sure of the type of wood in the veneer). I burnt in the lettering. I used Danish oil for a finish with a couple of spray coats of lacquer.
