After building a couple of T and J models I would try to make my own drawn model. I started with this Landrover Defender model. It isn’t the most difficult one and I thought that it would succeed. I watched a lot of pictures and video’s on the internet before I started making some drawings in ACAD. I always start building with the frame, but this time I started with the outside. I have learned a lot and hope to do improvements on the next one. The used woods are mainly Ash and Imbuia. The lenght is about 30cm. (12”), scale 1:14.
Thanks for watching. All comments are welcome especially about improvements!

Truly, what a1jim said. I know they were probaby the simplest part of the build but the mud flaps are my favourite bits :)

very cool! This is a classic vehicle, I’m sad that it wasn’t ever available in N. America.

Beautiful craftsmanship!!
This is really wonderful Jan. I especially like that you did this according to your own plans and what a success it turned out to be! I know it isn’t easy, even with a purchased set of plans, so I think this one is even more special being made from scratch.
