This box is made from solid maple, solid walnut, and veneer. Lid panel is veneered in English walnut. The box bottom and tray bottoms are maple veneered panels.
The finish on the maple started with a 1 lb. cut of wax free amber shellac applied as a washcoat, followed by a walnut gel stain applied as a glaze. Everything was then topcoated in satin lacquer.
The lining in the box and trays is ivory velvet and has Brusso stop hinges.

Really a beautiful box! Love what you did with the maple and how it coordinates so wonderfully with the walnut.
