My gift to my son for his 31 birthday was this wee table and stools for him to enjoy with his son. I do love to build for my grandson❤️

I got a great deal on a big pile of Euro Beech and I’ve fallen in love with this beautiful wood. It finishes up smooth and seems to really like the Tung oil.

The top ended up with the stripe as I was using up a piece of black melamine I’ve had kicking around for a while.

I put it together with Dominos and it is very sturdy and solid.

The wood, the lines, the adorable chairs, the table top …. many hours of work and play to come!!
And something to be passed down to the next generations as well.

Only one word comes to mind when I look at this. Perfection. Love the grain, to me it is a double to American Chestnut.

I love the idea as well as execution. Beech is one of my favorite wood. Hard for me to get in Houston.
The split-top very European.
What kind of joinery did you use?
