Lasso hat rack

I made this hat & coat rack as a retirement present for a friend. I have seen coat racks made of railroad spikes and horseshoes before and seen similar hat racks made using 2 horseshoes but never using a lasso design so I tried making my own. To age the wood I made a brine using vinegar and steel wool. (The beautiful leatherwork was made by another friend of mine as his contribution towards the gift.)
