Possibilities in Tunisian Crochet

The other day, my granddaughter was playing in water and got her shirt soaking wet and we had to take it off.
What to put on her? Hmmm All I had was the beginnings of my temperature blanket
So, I wrapped it around her and, oh my goodness, how cute it looked!! I gave it some quick ties to hold it together for the time being.
During her nap I crocheted it together and gave it straps. Unfortunately I made it just a tad too tight and pulled the edging/fringe too far into the front.

But it definitely has POTENTIAL!!
It’s only joined at the top and I gave it a little “yoke” part between the straps.
The fringe is on both ends, but only needs to be on the outside piece of course.

I might make another one “on purpose”.
I wish I had taken a photo of the first fitting – it was precious.
