A Thank-you Gift

I made this little throw blanket for a friend. Her name is Jennifer and, when she was little, her grandparents (Portugese) bought her a bracelet with her name on it – spelled “Jenafor”, just how they pronounce it. The bracelet, as you can imagine, is very special to her. I gave her the thank-you gift today and she loved it.

The hardest part of the blanket was not knowing whether the letters would work out right, in crochet, until the blanket was over half done. A lot of work went into it knowing that it might have to be all pulled apart. But all went well . I was so excited once I got that “e” formed.
