Yup! Duluth is one of our family-favorite weekend trip destinations (not that there are that many options within reasonable driving range from the Twin Cities), so we go there pretty regularly.
Here's an oldie that I took from the Staten Island Ferry. I just loved the clouds that day, though a statue got in the way 😉 (man, sky pics lose their impact when they're postcard-sized)
WillMSP - I lived in Duluth for a little over 7 years so I know that view well. I try to get back there every year or so. I generally head up the North Shore to Grand Marais and then up the Gunflint Trail to Poplar Lake.
I take a lot of pictures of sunsets, storm clouds, and stuff quite frequently. We have a lot of severe storms in this area each year. My buddy and I occasionally chase the worse storms for pictures.
Every now and again I get lucky.... This is looking north (downstream) on the Athabasca River. Downtown Fort McMurray, Alberta. If you look closely on the right side in the green aurora, you can see the big dipper.
