Work Bench Build #12: Carpenters Vise Install

Taking things easy doing one task per day. Worked for a couple of hours and I managed to install the carpenters Vise. I will still have some finish work around the chop on the top once it’s turned over. I still have to decide if I should trim the wooden part of the chop to the same size as the metal. Anyone have ideas?
As always thank you for following along, any questions or comments, fire away…

I personally would not trim.

Thanks guys, I’ll leave it long. My season ended in September here pat, but I only caught trout this year, brook trout.

Looks great. I suggest you make something like this to prevent racking. Especially if you will be leaving the jaw extra long.

That’s a great idea mike. Not too bulky, but all the common size board widths, thanks Mike40.
