Making a couple of Legs for an Island. The granite top will hang over for sitting.
I had to use water base paint...yuck.... The brass is from a sheet of Aluminum that has been brass anodized.  (Not real brass)

Nice looking legs. Are they solid?

Thanks,
These are cheapies. Hollow.  Didn't even bevel the sides.  Butt joints......
Tops and bottoms are plugged though.

Sometimes you have to build to fit the bill.
Pretty much freebie for my contractor that gives me a lot of work.

Well done. Yes, sometimes the quick projects can be the best, and simple.

Do you ever use a lock miter bit to make legs or posts?

Nah,  Don't even have one.

Here are the legs installed.  Not my taste but they seemed to like them.

Who uses a cow for a counter top. Legs look good nice shape and style.
Corelz, that is funny. I was thinking the black was just a bit much, to wide of a pattern.

Now making crown for the Kitchen.
The crown will attach to the top of the cabinets.
I made two pieces with a rabbet for the brass to set in.

Here is one of the finished pieces.  I made 4- 8 footers.

I agree with Pottzy. Fits the style and the milk cow counter is kinds cool (sold color would be too much).

Nice how the leg banding goes with you clamps!

Yes,  got to stay professional.

I think the clients wife looks at too many magazines.
She's going for a look she saw,  but it's hard to create it when your using lipstick.  We'll see how it turns out.
It won't be bad as it will go with the rest of the house.  Just not my thing.
Going to put up some beams next. (maybe down the road a little.)

I have a high gloss kitchen to install in the next up coming couple of weeks.
(haven't seen the cabinets yet but they are supposed to be on the job site. )

Here are some pics of the crown put on.  Not a fan, but it's not a deal breaker, considering the look she's going for.
She still has to buy different chairs for the island and brass handles for all the doors.
In defense of the cow themed island top, here is another pic that shows the graining a little better.  Still looks like a cow but maybe a tad better than the previous pictures.

Made some bunnies for the Senior Center. They are going to have a painting/arts and craft session so I donated 24 of these wood bunnies for them to paint and decorate.

Still don't like the counter top, sorry. I know not your choice. The kitchen does look good though.

Great contribution of the bunnies, that should be a hoot to see them all painted.

Thanks pottz,

Thanks Eric,  We all don't have to like everything.  I'm not even so sure I like it.  I definitely wouldn't have picked it myself.

I'm not sure that I will get to see the finished bunnies.  The ones they showed me were pretty cool, with eyes glued on, whiskers and bows and stuff,  they were cute.  I'll see if I can get pictures.  I think they paint them next week.
