Not that I am a Bessey bigot, I find that they have a great diversity of clamps that just seem to fit my discerning requirements. The DuoKlamp seems to fit into that niche,
The clamp comes with a quick release thumb button (1) and a quick reverse operation dial (2),
I find that the parallel grip compared to the Irwin grip, is more natural/comfortable for me... however, that is personal preference (like vino over beer)...
It basically has two clamping surfaces, the logical front,
and the illogical back, Using both the front and back clamping features, this clamp provided more stability for edge clamping than the similar operation with an Irwin, better spread of exerted forces.
One of my major gripes about this clamp was no padding during spreading operation,
DOH! After RTFM'ing... something that no egotistic male ever does on initial purchase... to confirm some other operation, I found that you could remove and reverse the padding,, and discovered (more RTFM'ing) that without the padding, there were exposed lips that could grip/spread groves/dados 3.5mm x 3.5mm, which is something that would have been useful for me if I knew about it during past operations. Major insignificance... unless you may need it... damn you may say, the 1/8" just misses out.
I have found these quite handy and have included it here without regret... not only to justify my purchase.
